Located in one of Newport’s most bustling streets, Le Petit Marche is the northern beaches answer to all things French. Opening its doors five years ago, Le Petit Marche prides itself on stocking only the highest quality products and exclusive French brands.
From fromage and saucisson to boutique wines, bespoke homewares and the smoothest of jams, Le Petit Marche’s focus is not only on providing the best produce it can source, but ensure the artisan French spirit will always have a place in the Austalian culture’s love for all things from the terroir.
All our cheese come from small artisan makers, sometimes aged by our cheese craftsman and are imported from France. We also have a small selection of cheeses from Italy, Spain, England and Tasmania. They are all selected in season, so you can taste the difference between a summer goats cheese and a winter one. As a child, Julien spent a lot of time making and learning about cheese from his uncle, learning the history, the craft and the love for cheese.
Same with our cured meat and pate selections - they all come from free range animals and made by artisan from France, Australia and Spain.
Our French wine range offers our customers a unique selection, some which would be rare to find elsewhere. We import some of them and buy some from local importers. All come from single vineyard producers, mainly organic with a couple of natural wines. Strong laws regulate the way our cheese and wine are made in France, that's why most of our wines are low sulfate, free of pesticide.
